Radiofrequency microneedling has become a go-to skin treatment – but what exactly is it?
Radiofrequency (RF) microneedling is the combination of RF energy and skin needling in one treatment.
Both of these treatments elicit a healing response in the skin to stimulate collagen and cell renewal. By combining the two, we are giving the skin a more powerful stimulation for an even stronger response, with minimal downtime.
It can be performed on all skin types and can address several concerns at once, such as fine lines and wrinkles, scarring, uneven skin texture and skin laxity.

What are some of the key features that makes EndyMed stand out?
EndyMed is a single device that is able to provide a solution to multiple skin concerns. It is engineered thoughtfully for the practitioner’s use and the science that goes into the machines is really impressive.
One of the treatments that can be perfomed with EndyMed is Intensif RF microneedling, which uses non-insulated 24k gold needles to conduct heat safely into the skin. At the same time, 3DEEP radiofrequency distributes energy evenly into the dermis where structural fibres lie. Combining the needles with the 3DEEP RF technology makes the needling more effective for collagen remodelling.
Can you walk us through the treatment experience?
At Renew Skin, we begin with an initial consultation to assess the skin. Clients are recommended to begin a skincare routine to prep the skin for best results with the Intensif. For this we love the iS Clinical range.
The treatment goes for around 1.5 hours, including time for numbing and before and after photos. The treatment itself can take anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the area treated. Treatment is tolerable with minimal discomfort. The immediate effects are mild to moderate erythema (redness).
Downtime can vary with dry, flaking skin, redness and swelling as common indicators of healing and skin renewal.
Long-term results include stimulating collagen, creating a healthy skin barrier and strengthening skin integrity – all of which help prevent signs of ageing. Results will vary for each individual.
While everyone is different, we generally recommend 3 treatments 4 to 6 weeks apart.
What are the benefits of properly preparing skin before Endymed treatment?
