The Hilton in Sydney played host to the prestigious MyFaceMyBody Awards Australasia 2015, on Saturday evening 28 November, where the best of the Australian and New Zealand aesthetics industry were recognised.
The glamorous, black-tie event has been running successfully in the UK for several years and are the only consumer awards dedicated to the Australian and New Zealand aesthetics industry. Guests included some of the countries leading health and beauty professionals, beauty brands, media and online influencers.
The ceremony recognises and rewards brands and beauty practices for their product innovation, service and popularity. Aesthetics covers a very wide variety of products and services, including cosmetic surgery, cosmetic dentistry and cosmeceuticals (pharmaceutical-based skin care products).
The event was sponsored by Syneron Candela, along with Advanced Skin Technology, DHI Hair Clinics and Advanced Cosmeceuticals and was hosted by the founder of MyFaceMyBody.com, TV personality and grooming expert, Stephen Handisides.
“After the huge success of the UK awards, I wanted to bring the awards closer to home in New Zealand and Australia where the popularity of aesthetics and beauty is sky-rocketing and the quality of services available is truly world class”, said Handisides.
“The awards were voted on by the consumer, so the process is more transparent, fair and meaningful to the winners. Given the success of this year’s Awards, we can’t wait to bring them back to Australasia again in 2016,” he said.
The awards were categorised under Best Service, Best Aesthetics Blogger and Best Practice for each Australian state and from NZ. The shortlisted finalists were selected by a team of highly experienced judges including our very own Michelle Kearney, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Cosmetic Surgery & Beauty Magazine, Ricky Allen – Roaming Beauty Editor at Vogue Australia and Jenni Gilbert, editor of SPA+CLINIC among others.
Consumers had the power to vote for their favourite brands, media, clinics and practitioners and the following winners were revealed:
