Danielle Halvorsen

Fit Collective is led by fitness guru Dani Halvorsen, whose warmth, radiance and dedication is infectious. Dani has a degree in Personal Development in Physical Education (PDHPE) and is well educated in sports psychology, fitness, personal training, is a level one coach, is active ageing accredited, and is aqua and group exercise qualified.

Her passion as a health and fitness expert comes from a life-long obsession with helping people feel great about what they can achieve.

‘From a young age, I’ve always been active and just about every chance I could get, I would be playing some sort of sports such as swimming, volleyball, tennis and horse riding,’ says Dani. ‘Growing up, my life was consumed by training on horses and showing.

‘My first competition was at the Royal Easter Show, where I managed to win Champion rider in all events. Later on, I was fortunate enough to represent NSW in equestrian and was the AQHA Champion of Australia.

‘My fitness career started when I was only 17. I was at the local gym six days a week and usually spent four hours training. The owner of the gym came up to me one day and said, ‘Why don’t you look into becoming a fitness trainer?’  So by the time I turned 18, I was qualified and teaching group exercise classes at the local gyms. It was the era of Lycra, so I had my leg warmers and Lycra moments. To this day, I usually reference Jane Fonda in my workouts!

‘Now, with a career in the health and fitness industry spanning more than 30 years in just about every capacity, I am grateful for the experiences and challenges and how this has allowed me to help thousands of people get healthier, fitter and feel great about themselves.’

With lockdowns behind us (fingers crossed), we’re never taking the gym for granted again! That being said, you can be assured Fit Collective is operating in accordance with NSW public health orders.

Fit Collective gym facilities are complimentary for guests staying at the hotel and memberships are available for members of the public, starting at just $35 per week! You can also sign up for a 7-day trial pass for just $20 to see what Fit Collective has to offer!
