Winners announced at the 2015 Australian Beauty Industry Awards

Every year, the Australian Beauty Industry Awards (ABIAs) celebrate the standout clinics and practitioners in Australia’s rapidly growing beauty and spa sector. They’re often dubbed the ‘Oscars of beauty’ and, with an increasing number of entrants each year, the awards are clearly seen to represent the benchmark of excellence in the Australian industry.

This year’s awards night saw more than 300 guests descend upon the stunning Dockside Pavilion at Darling Harbour in Sydney. The evening kicked off with arrival champagne and canapés followed by host and MC for the evening, Mr Will Fennell, introducing stellar entertainers ‘The Leading Men’ to open the show.

Winners were announced in 14 categories and new categories this year included ABIA Educator of the Year (Gay Wardle), Men’s Grooming Salon of the year (Guys Grooming) and Salon Team of the Year (Spoilt Rotten).

“It is with great pride that we have watched the ABIAs grow and be recognised as an integral part of the beauty industry,” said Linda Woodhead, owner of Mocha Publishing and founder of the ABIAs. “Each year we see such a high calibre and a growing number of entrants, and the Gala Dinner is always such a great night of celebration and entertainment that I feel honoured to be a part of.”
