We know it’s the middle of winter, but there is nothing like a glowing tan to help battle against the cold weather. Especially if you have a special occasion to show it off! So we sent the Bella guinea pig out to try this one from TechnoTan.

the verdict: I’ve heard of Amy’s customised approach to tanning that yields her clientele excellent results – testament is her impressive list of devotees that includes Jennifer Hawkins, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Delta Goodrem and Kristy Hinze – so I go to Amy with very high expectations.
Her luxe Paddington beauty parlour is light, bright and has cosy, white beauty treatment rooms for all things skin and waxing and complete with adjoining tanning rooms.
Amy’s background in TV and modelling led her into professional beauty therapy, and her passion for finding natural and effective skincare solutions is something that I respect – so when she tells me the tan I’m having is organic she gets a big tick.
Amy utilises the latest safest tanning techniques and technologies, including a space age tanning booth replete with overhead lights and ventilation.
The first thing I note is that Amy has high attention to detail, making sure my nails and palms are protected with moisturiser prior to tanning. She gauges what I like from my tan – how dark and what hues I prefer.
Her spraying technique is specific and meticulous and she employs certain contouring techniques to give my winter physique the illusion of toned terrain. Even when she does my face, she tans in slightly more under my cheekbones to give a sculpted look.
The result was an even covering of the olive-toned tan I prefer, that was surprisingly natural looking. A week later it was only just starting to wear and I had several comments on my colour. Ten terrific tan points to Amy Erbacher!
