Salon Melbourne 2016 has successfully wrapped up for another year! Over 5000 visitors from all sectors of the beauty industry gathered in to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre last weekend for the two-day event.
Beauty professionals, industry icons and leading global and local brands came together to celebrate all things beauty, and immerse themselves in a world of new products, treatments, trends and technologies.
“We have received some very positive feedback from participants and attendees, thanks largely to a sensational line-up of quality brands, unique education sessions and a plethora of live demonstrations,” said Julia Erben, Event Director, Reed Exhibitions.
“Business opportunities for the companies who participated in the event are already being realised, while many visitors said they left Salon Melbourne feeling inspired, more knowledgeable, and better equipped to service their customers and build their businesses.”
Highlights of Salon Melbourne 2016 include:
• The skincare sanctuary:
Which was set up in a format that allowed attendees to get up-close-and-personal with many brands and learn about their latest advancements in skincare. Featuring renowned brands such as Dermalogica Australia, Elizabeth Arden PRO, Danne Montague-King (DMK), MBK Skin, Jean D’Arcel Cosmetique and PAYOT.
• The Hub:
A new addition to the expo floor in 2016. The Hub was an interactive feature focusing on makeup, nails, anti-ageing and grooming. The Hub provided a forum for the latest tips, techniques and trends in a series of live demonstrations and shows presented by leading artists in the industry.
• The education sessions, Bootcamps and seminars:
Which offered intimate talks and demonstrations from leading experts such as Becca Gimartin, Cleo Tucker, Jazz Pampling and Rae Morris.
• The Salon Melbourne Party:
This party gave industry professionals the opportunity to let their hair down and celebrate with colleagues, peers and business associates in a relaxed and beautiful setting at Crown Metropol’s Skybar Lounge.
After another successful Salon Melbourne, event organisers will now shift their focus to Hair Expo Australia, which will be held in Melbourne for the first time on the 11th to 13th June 2016. Another major event to follow is the Beauty Expo Australia, which will be held in Sydney on 20th to 21st August 2016.
