To commemorate Australia’s fallen veterans this Anzac Day, Sydney Legacy has partnered with Australian beauty and skincare brand Annod to create a rosemary infused range of products with proceeds going to the charity to support the families of veterans.
Rosemary has long been an ancient symbol of remembrance and is especially significant to Australians as it grew wild on the hills of Gallipoli. While traditionally worn on Anzac Day to honour the veterans and show support to their families, this year, Sydney Legacy has partnered with Australian beauty and skincare brand, Annod, to create a range of products incorporating rosemary with proceeds going to the charity to support the families of veterans.
In 1923, Legacy made a promise to help veterans’ families carry on with their lives after the loss or injury of their loved one, providing stability guidance and assistance that a partner would normally provide to his or her family. As many will be wearing the sprig of rosemary on Anzac Day, as they pause in recognition of members of the Australian Defence Force who made the ultimate sacrifice, Sydney Legacy wanted to make showing support for the cause more widespread. The rosemary infused products will be launched just ahead of Anzac Day and will stay in the Annod portfolio after the day so that people can purchase the stunning products and donate to the cause, with 20 percent of each product sale going to Sydney Legacy.
The range developed by Annod consists of two products: a Revitalising Rosemary Aromatic Wash ($31) and a Re-Energising Foot Cream ($29), both of which include rosemary as a prominent layer to each product. The strong and clear scents of Rosemary, Lavender and Lemongrass in the aromatic wash will revitalise both body and mind. Enhanced with the addition of antioxidant-rich Grapeseed Oil, the luxurious lather cleanses and is formulated to leave the skin feeling soft and silky without stripping it of natural oils. Revitalising lightweight and silky smooth, the foot cream infused with antioxidant-rich. cold-pressed Vegetable Oils and Vitamin E will leave your feet and legs feeling supple, smooth and moist. Active Rosemary Oil will bring instant relief to your tired and aching feet and legs helping increase circulation.
Michael Ducie, CEO of Legacy says: “With rosemary a symbol of remembrance and Anzac Day soon approaching we thought this partnership was incredibly timely and a perfect opportunity to raise more awareness of the work Legacy does for the families of veterans as we commemorate them during this period. The ability to incorporate rosemary into products that may be attractive to a wider reach of people is a great chance to let people know what we do.”
Donna Ireland, Founder and CEO of Annod says: “Annod is passionate about supporting causes that improve the lives of women and children in Australia and we are proud that these products donate to Sydney Legacy, who look after the partners and children of those who gave their lives or their health for the country.”
