The verdict: I am a true Summer baby! I love the beach, the sand in my toes and the salt in my hair. I am also golden blonde, which I prefer, but don’t like it so much when the tresses start to turn orange and brassy in between colours.
As I pumped the shampoo into my hand, I couldn’t help but notice the deep dark purple. I have used silver shampoos before and this was the most vibrant purple I have seen.
I found the shampoo took a little work to lather and I had to add lots of water. Once it lathered I left it on for about a minute and half, rinsed and repeated, this time rinsing instantly.
The conditioner was clear in colour, had a lovely fragrance to it and distributed through the hair quite evenly. Because I have oily roots and dry ends I only condition the ends, then run the comb through to eliminate any knots (I get shocking knots). I left the conditioner on for about two minutes and then rinsed thoroughly.
As I dried my hair off with the dryer, the brassy, orange tones were gone, but it had also darkened the blonde quite a bit leaving an ashy tone (I prefer golden blondes). A few days later and one wash with a regular shampoo and my hair was back to golden blonde but without the brassy, orange tones.
