Love her or hate her, there’s no denying that Kim Kardashian West knows a thing or two about beauty.

So when she goes public with tips from her mysterious skincare routine, we can’t help but be all ears.

Using her app to communicate with fans, the reality star recently revealed how she deals with the dreaded dark circle.

‘I’ve always struggled with dark under-eye circles,’ the 37-year-old confessed. ‘As I’ve gotten older, I have to make sure to get enough sleep, practice a good skincare routine, stay out of the sun and stay hydrated to combat puffiness and discolouration.’

The contour queen then enlisted the help of dermatologist Dr Harold Lancer, who explained how our sleeping positions impact the skin.

‘Do you tend to lie on your side or on your stomach?’ he asked. ‘Either of these positions can cause your face to fold into the pillow and put strain on the skin around your eyes.’

‘To avoid this, try to sleep on your back. It doesn’t just benefit your face, but other areas of your body, like the chest, from potential wrinkles.’

Under-eye discolouration can be the result of genetics, age or seasonal allergies. Lifestyle factors like insufficient protection from the sun, lack of sleep and irritating beauty products can also play a role.
