A A

Lutronic’s Healite II is a new-generation Light-Emitting Diode (LED) phototherapy system that is used primarily to promote post-procedure wound healing and recovery. It can be used as an effective stand-alone therapy or as a powerful adjunctive therapy particularly with pre and post surgical and non-surgical treatments.

Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT) with Healite II is the therapeutic use of incident light to photomodulate cellular function, improving healing times, relieving pain, subsiding active acne, promoting skin rejuvenation and for other treatments. This non-ablative skin surface treatment system delivers pure LED light in precise wavelengths. without heat, ensuring no risk of burning or other damage to tissue.

How does Healite II work?

The Healite II treatment lasts 11 minutes and delivers low levels of light, in a non-thermal and totally damage-free manner. It targets the reparative cells and increases beneficial substances, in particular your own antioxidants produced by the reparative cells. Light at special wavelengths (or colours) selectively activates these cells.

It is proven to:

  • Encourage wound and cellular healing post-laser or post-surgery
  • Reduce pain, edema and erythema
  • Increase blood flow to the wound
  • Decrease the risk of bruising
  • Decrease recovery time
  • Offer prophylaxis against scar formation
  • Reduce PIH
  • Improve clinical results

What is it used to treat?

LLLT with Healite II improves the results of surgical and non surgical procedures and treatments, including aesthetic laser and IPL treatments, skin needling, deep peels and pre and post-plastic or cosmetic surgery, especially to reduce the risk of hypertrophic scars forming.

Treatments include:

  • Wound Healing
  • Pain Relief
  • Optional infra-red light source can be used to provide temporary relief of muscle and joint pain
  • Arthritis
  • Muscle Spasm
  • Optional infra-red light source can be used to improve local blood circulation
  • Skin Rejuvenation
  • Reducing fine lines and wrinkles
  • Active Acne
  • Superficial skin lesions

FAQs

How comfortable is the treatment?

Reclined or seated under the Healite II, patients usually find it comfortable. In fact, many find it relaxing.

How many treatments will I require?

Your practitioner will discuss your treatment goals as part of your consultation, especially if Healite II is being used as an adjunct to another aesthetic treatment. These goals will determine the number of treatments you will need. Typically patients are treated twice a week over a period of time with many patients see and feel results after the first treatment.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment is relatively short, depending on your treatment plan. Typically treatments last between 10 and 20 minutes.

How much downtime will I have after the treatment?

There is no downtime from a standalone Healite II treatment.

However, if the Healite II treatment is an adjunct to laser or surgical treatment, there may be associated downtime to your other procedure. Your practitioner will discuss this during your consultation.
