Thermage FLX – a typical mum’s patient journey

Wondering what a Thermage FLX treatment is like? Here, one Thermage patient shares her story…

Patient C (age 37), a mum of two who works full-time, felt and looked like she had aged significantly over the past few years.

“I looked like I was ageing too quickly, and I just needed to feel and get back to my normal self,” she says.

But that wasn’t the only area Patient C was concerned about. After having two kids, the skin on her abdomen was showing signs of skin laxity.

She decided the time was right to spend a little more time and money on herself and help improve her areas of concern.

She chose Thermage FLX to help tighten and contour the skin on her face and tummy.

Why Thermage treatment?

Several different internal and external processes can contribute to wrinkle formation, skin thinning and sagging on the face and body. A major component is the loss of collagen, which is responsible for skin structure and the skin plumpness associated with youth and vitality.

Thermage FLX helps to smooth, tighten and contour skin for an overall younger-looking appearance. It uses radiofrequency technology to heat the deep, collagen-rich layers of the skin and can be used on both the face and body. The most common treatment areas include the face, around the eyes, abdomen, thighs and upper arms.

Results can be seen in a single treatment. The applied heat separates the water molecules from the collagen fibrils, causing an immediate contraction, resulting in skin tightening, with continued improvement for up to 6 months.

Thermage treatment offers long-lasting results – up to 1-2 years in many cases. The treatment itself is well tolerated with low downtime and an excellent safety profile.
