Designer runways, a Hair Director, and hair masterclass with an AFW Changemaker, it’s the first year Shark Beauty plays a starring role in Australia’s premier fashion event.

This Australian Fashion Week (AFW) Shark Beauty partners with a team of powerhouse fashion designers and celebrated hair stylists as the event’s official hair tool partner.

Shark Beauty’s mission is to enhance natural beauty, unleash fearless energy and ensure that everyone has access to salon quality hair at home. The TikTok-famous Shark Beauty family of hair styling tools includes the Shark FlexStyle, Shark SpeedStyle and newly launched Shark SmoothStyle Heated Comb Straightener + Smoother, an all-in-one smoothing and straightening hot brush, which will debut at AFW.

In its first year as an AFW partner, Shark Beauty has partnered with Australian fashion designers including Albus Lumen, Beare Park and Alix Higgins. The hair tools are also being used to create runway looks for Third Form and Mariam Seddiq, as well as styling session at circular dress hire company The Volte’s pop up.

Working backstage during AFW, Shark Beauty’s Hair Director Chris Hunter says professional stylists can trust Shark Beauty hair tools to withstand the high-intensity demands of Fashion Week.

Hunter says, “From touchups, to complete creative styles, the Shark FlexStyle, Shark SmoothStyle and Shark SpeedStyle, will be delivering some stellar runway hair trends you can recreate at home.”

SharkNinja Managing Director ANZ, the parent company of Shark Beauty, Aby Shukla says, “It’s a huge first AFW for Shark Beauty. We are honoured to be able to partner with Australia’s leading fashion designers and hairstylists to create the looks of tomorrow this May. Shark Beauty democratises hair styling, making it possible to achieve runway trends at home.”

The hair tool brand famous for being For All Hairkind™— celebrating the diverse, the eclectic, and the yet-to-be-celebrated hair, because all hair types are beautiful – is also partnering with celebrated curl specialist Rumbie Mutsiwa for a curly hair masterclass. Recognised as a 2024 AFW Changemaker, founder of the Rumbie & Co Curl branda leading hair educator and stylist for wavy, curly and afro hair – Rumbie will share her textured hair expertise.

Shark Beauty will also host international fashion media, stylists, influencers and tastemakers at its Shark Beauty Hair Suite, located at official hotel partner SKYE Suites Green Square. Guests will be able to enjoy a hair styling session and pre-show refreshments at the suite.

Follow Shark Beauty throughout AFW and beyond for fashion-forward looks that can be reinterpreted with recommended Shark Beauty hair tools. Visit sharkbeauty.com.au or follow @sharkbeautyau on TikTok and Instagram.
