Heritage skincare brand Kiehl’s proudly announces a new community partnership with Melbourne-based social enterprise HoMie, reinforcing its commitment to being a skincare brand that’s good for people and the planet.
The partnership brings together two purpose driven organisations with a shared mission: to empower confidence through care, regardless of background and to support young people affected by homelessness or hardship.
In its first year, Kiehl’s will invest in HoMie’s Pathways Alliance, an education and employment traineeship that equips young people with the skills, confidence and experience to be more work-ready and better prepared for their future and contribute over $60,000 worth of Kiehl’s products to support HoMie’s VIP Days, a program supporting young people by boosting confidence and community connection.
Since its inception in 2015, HoMie’s VIP Program has supported over 3,700 young Australians nationwide, with an additional 50 expected to attend the next VIP Day in Melbourne.
Kiehl’s Australia Brand Director Nora Trattner spoke with pride on the launch of the partnership, and its meaningful brand alignment. “We are incredibly proud to begin this journey with HoMie. This partnership reflects our deep-rooted brand values of equal opportunity, encouraging diversity and providing pathways to overcome adversity, through meaningful, grass-roots community initiatives that matter”.
“HoMie’s mission to uplift and empower young people aligns with Kiehl’s global Open Doors initiative and this is just the beginning of what we hope will be a long, impactful partnership” she continued.
HoMie CEO, Stephanie Say echoes Kiehl’s excitement for the launch of this partnership and says “Kiehl’s passion for creating safe and inclusive products and spaces for all aligns beautifully with our work providing support and opportunity for young people. Their contribution will help us grow our impact and create more opportunities that young people would otherwise be unable to access.”.
Since 1851, Kiehl’s has proudly supported marginalised communities, championing inclusivity and celebrating diversity across its customers, community and employees. This partnership supports the broader diversity and inclusion commitment of the L’Oréal Groupe in Australia and is rooted in a shared commitment to community, individuality and social equity, laying the foundation for a meaningful and enduring collaboration.
