KYK Hair Founder & hair expert, Kristina Youssef, is here to give us the insight on how to achieve 7 looks from the Barbie Movie so you can live out you childhood dreams and become a Barbie yourself.

With the Barbie movie out in cinemas, we have already seen Barbie and her glam take over. Across Tik Tok, the hashtag #BarbieHair has already been viewed 26.4 Million times & Barbies #BarbiePonyTail has been viewed 102.7 Million times.

Barbie in her Pink Corvette: Effortless Loose Curls

  • Discover the pin curl technique or blow wave brush for loose curls.
  • Use KYK Hair Care’s “Snatch Me Smoothing Brush” to smoothen the hair back, leaving the fringe out.
  • Create a waterfall look by pinning the sides and securing the center with a ponytail claw clip.
  • Finish off with KYK’s “Get Styling Working Hairspray” for a soft, bouncy, and moveable hold.
  • Use KYK’s “Mist-Ique 8 in 1 Oils” to achieve hydrated & shiny blonde.
  • Add a touch of glamour with a pink bow at the back.

Party Barbie: Voluminous and Playful

  • Ideal for medium to long hair.
  • Alternate the curls using a larger barrel for a multidirectional effect, without holding the ends too long.
  • Add volume to the hair with KYK’s “Magic Dust Volume Powder” and a triple teaser comb.
  • Style an exaggerated side fringe with a soft hold using the “Get Styling Working Hairspray.”

Roller Skating Barbie: Effortless Chic

  • Achieve soft movement with a blow dry brush and KYK’s “Mist-Ique 8 in 1 Oils” which works as a heat protectant, whilst increasing shine.
  • Split the hair in the middle using KYK’s “Teaser Comb.”
  • Create an effortless bun at the top, leaving out shorter pieces for facial framing. Secure down with KYK’s “Bobby Pins.”
  • Make sure you leave out some shorter pieces for face framing & complete the look with a trendy sun visor cap.

Wizard of OZ Barbie: Glamorous Ponytail

  • Tie the hair into a high top ponytail and add a clip-in fringe.
  • Use a hair straightener to tuck the ends and create a thicker centre with KYK’s “Triple Teaser Comb.”
  • Secure the style with KYK’s “Get Styling Hairspray” and accentuate with a big bow at the top.
  • Add a big bow to accessorise

Desert Barbie: Romantic Plaited Beauty

  • Perfect for thick hair or clip-in extensions.
  • Smooth the hair to one side and create a soft plait using KYK’s “Snatch Me Smoothing Brush.”
  • Add volume and set the plait in place with KYK’s “Magic Dust Volume Powder.”
  • Adorn the plait’s end with a charming pink bow and don a pink hat for the complete look.

Shocked Barbie: Bold Bob Look

  • Pin curl the hair using a larger 25-33mm wand, allow them to cool for 15 minutes and smooth them out with KYK’s “Snatch Me Smoothing Brush.”
  • Apply “Magic Dust Volume Powder” for hold and instant body.
  • Don’t forget to wear sunnies on your head to truly rock the look!

Farmer Barbie: Classic and Elegant

  • Achieve Barbie’s bangs with a clip-in fringe if you don’t want to chop them.
  • Split the hair using KYK’s “Snatch Me Smoothing Brush” into two sections and plait each side.
  • Maintain hydration and smooth hair with a spritz of KYK’s “Mist-Ique 8 in 1 Hair Oils.”
  • Finish off with “Get Styling Working Hairspray” to set the style in place.
