Winter body care is all about self care, relaxation and hydrating your skin. This five-step winter body care ritual will help soothe your senses and rehydrate your skin, from top to toe!

Winter body care ritual Step 1: Magnesium Bath

Begin your winter body care ritual with a warm magnesium bath. Magnesium is known for its calming properties and ability to ease muscle tension, making it perfect for soothing winter chills. It is also known to help draw out toxins from the skin, so this bath will really deliver benefits.

Fill your tub with warm water and add a generous amount of magnesium bath salts. For this ritual, we love Epzen Calm Soak Magnesium Bath Flakes, which contain lavender for extra soothing. Try adding a few drops of Jurlique Relax Blend Essential Oil, too. It will help ease any lingering tension in your mind and body.

Relax in the bath for about 20 minutes, allowing the magnesium to work its magic.

Step 2: Exfoliation

Hop out of the bath and use a good body scrub all over while your skin is still wet. We love Jurlique’s Smoothing Body Exfoliating Gel. It’s a lightweight gel with walnut shell powder that gently lifts away impurities. Massage the scrub in circular motions all over your body, paying extra attention to rough areas like elbows and knees. Rinse away in the shower. This step not only removes dead skin cells but also promotes better absorption of subsequent products.

Alternatively, hop straight in the shower and lather up with FaceLuxe Moroccan Exfoliating Mitts and a beautiful shower gel like Endota Spa Rose and Tasmanian Lavender Hand and Body Wash.

Step 3: Refresh and tone

After exfoliation, gently towel yourself dry. Then, treat yourself to a refreshing, hydrating body mist. Choose a mist infused with soothing botanicals like Jurlique’s Exclusive Edition Aloe Vera Mist. Gently spritz it over your body to tone and soothe the skin. Hint: you can also spray this over your face for a refreshed complexion.

Step 4: Hydrate with nurturing oil

Take time to massage body oil from top to toe. Try Jurlique Rose Body Oil, which will soften skin as it imparts a sense of tranquility. Warm a few drops of the oil between your palms and gently massage it into your skin. Really take time to check in with your body, massaging the oil in well and noticing your curves and keeping a look out for anything that might be unusual on your skin and body.
